The Order of St. Michael (OSM) is CAF National’s private, elite brotherhood of Catholic men committed to becoming leaders of faith, virtue, discipline, and character.
OSM is a private membership network, meaning member names, chapter rosters, and internal activities are not public. This allows men to grow, train, and pursue holiness and excellence without external pressure or social media exposure.
OSM members undergo a structured formation process rooted in:
• Catholic teaching
• spiritual discipline
• physical fitness
• leadership development
• moral character
• fraternal accountability
• intellectual development
Every region consists of small, disciplined groups led by trained Regional Captains. Members meet regularly in person or online for formation, brotherhood, prayer, and personal development.
Admission to OSM is highly selective and requires alignment with Catholic moral teaching*, personal discipline, commitment to formation, and a desire for leadership.
OSM exists to form the next generation of strong Catholic men who will lead their families, communities, and the Church with courage and integrity.
*This would include all practicing Catholics and those who desire to learn, understand, and live out the Catholic faith.
Forms members in the foundations of Catholic thought, teaching them to understand truth, interpret
reality through a Catholic worldview, and deepen their spiritual life through doctrine and moral clarity.
Explores the key events, civilizations, and Catholic movements that shaped the modern world, giving
members strategic insight into human conflict, culture, leadership, and societal rise and decline.
Introduces the principles of political order, natural law, statesmanship, and civic responsibility,
equipping members to wisely understand and engage with public life.
Teaches fundamentals of money management, wealth building, stewardship, and strategic financial
decision-making to prepare members for strong, stable leadership in life.
Develops articulate, persuasive communicators through training in logic, argumentation, clear thinking,
and public speech, enabling members to speak truth boldly and confidently.
Builds physical discipline through structured training, strength development, and nutritional habits,
forming members into healthy, capable Catholic men.
Teaches psychology of habit formation, discipline, virtue, and behavioral mastery, helping members
build intentional, disciplined lives grounded in self-control rather than impulse.

After the application is submitted, the candidate would then enter the 4-week vetting process consisting of an official application, essays, meetings with leadership, and demonstrations of discipline in both the spiritual and physical life. After the four weeks, the candidate is either accepted as a OSM initiate, deferred, or rejected. Trainees then enter an 8-week formation period, participating in his OSM region, challenges, etc. Upon completion and passing this phase, the trainee will then be officially received as a Michaelian Brother.
Yes, after the 4-week vetting period, accepted initiates pay a $35 initiation fee and $12 monthly dues during the 8-week formation process. these small costs ensure commitment, help cover formation materials and regional resources, and maintain the serious, elite culture of the order of St. Michael. CAF National covers the majority of operating expenses so that members receive high-quality formation, brotherhood, and access to a national leadership network at a very low cost.
